Configuration Specialist

Configuration Specialist for a 6 month contract with possible extension

The successful candidate must possess the following skills and experience:

Minimum of 1 year of experience within the last 3 years managing and tracking issues to the configuration and adjust baselines.

Minimum of 1 year of experience within the last 3 years performing the following tasks:

• scheduling

• planning;

• approving the configuration of new components; and

• modules as the system functionality evolves.

Minimum 1 year of experience within the last 3 years as a Configuration Specialist performing 8 out of 14 tasks outlined below:

• configuration change tracking;

• documentation control;

• concepts of operation;

• requirements identification and documentation

• preliminary and detailed system definition;

• system design review, performance monitoring tools, and production software;

• providing continuous coordination of progress on actions, tasking, and issues;

• managing the baseline configuration for all-project related work for project oversight;

• managing and track changes to the configuration and adjust project baselines, as well as regularly track project and master schedule and control gate progress;

• supporting customer project teams in defining, documenting, and changing and baselining project configuration items;

• improving and develop the process, working methods and tools;

• liaising with the Customer to ensure requirements are met and ensure the Configuration Management Database integrity

• approving, scheduling, planning, and supervising the configuration of new components or modules as the system functionality evolves; and

• reviewing and editing technical documentation as requested.
