Operational Support Specialist

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Project management of ongoing IT consolidations, conversions, and transformations;

• Providing systems administration for any IT security system/application as required;

• Operational support for any IT security system/application as required;

• Performing software upgrades, and apply patches;

• Implementing RFC (request for change) and update the respective reporting system;

• Troubleshooting IRs (Incidents Requests) and updating the respective reporting system;

• Installing new or replacement equipment as required;

• Creating or maintaining an equipment database of equipment serial numbers and maintenance agreements as required;

• Testing workflows with partners and peer groups as required; and,

• Maintaining, creating, and updating build and operational documents as required by workload.

The qualified candidate must have:

• ​Experience as an Operational Support Specialist with five plus (5+) years’ experience with IP networks, firewalls, and related troubleshooting;

• Experience as an Operational Support Specialist with five plus (5+) years’ experience with security devices, which must include Cisco, Checkpoint, Fortinet, McAfee, Websense, and Bluecoat;

• Experience as an Operational Support Specialist with one to five (1-5) years’ experience with Cisco ASA Remote Access, IronPort, PNSC (Prime Network Services Controller), and VSG;

• Experience as an Operational Support Specialist with one to five (1-5) years’ experience with Cisco IPS and Sourcefire Intrusion Prevention Systems;

• Experience writing technical documents such as “Build Books”, “Conops”, and “Service management models”; and,

• The ability to work in a meticulous / attention to detail / organized environment​
